Sister Modgala will be keeping the French centre open all year round. Volunteers will be welcome to help maintain and develop the buildings and grounds to make a space for people to have small group and individual retreats, particularly offering a space for activists to refresh and renew and for artists to enjoy the environment. We also hope to develop our ecological understanding as we work together and share ideas. We can build spaces in the old buildings, woods and fields where people can retreat and get in touch with the earth. We can build watercourses and dig and grow the food to sustain us. We can share our creative skills to make and reveal a beautiful world. Amida France will also be a place where volunteers can train to go further afield and to return after these experiences to debrief and bring back their learning to share.
